Yoga Basics – Workshop for Beginners

This workshop is dedicated to those of you looking to take their first steps in the practice and philosophy of yoga. Perhaps you feel the need to reconnect with yourself. Yoga helps us to find out who we are, and to accept and love ourselves as we are at this present moment. It promotes emotional balance and wellbeing, as well as physical strength and a peaceful mind. Continued and frequent practice is a fabulous transformative tool, physically, mentally and spiritually. It is also a great support in other areas of our lives. “We do not practice yoga to get better at yoga, we practice yoga to get better at living.”

During this workshop, we will discuss the philosophical aspects of yoga, specific terms and concepts, for a more profound understanding of this topic. We will practice together conscious breathing and a morning sequence of postures for energy and vitality. Similarly, you will learn an evening relaxation technique for releasing tension and improved sleep. You will discover the joy of conscious movement and self acceptance. As the brilliant Maty Ezraty used to say, “keep in mind that when you practice yoga, you are not practicing to improve yourself. You are perfect. The practice is there to help you know that.”

Morning Practice

The morning practice aims to energize the body and create a sense of space and freedom, both on a mental and on a physical level. The series of postures and breathing exercises strengthen the muscles, elongate the spine and bring peace to the mind.

Energy & Vitality

This class is dedicated to those who wish to bring more energy and vitality to every aspect of their lives. Using different tools such as physical postures, breathing techniques and meditation, we increase our physical and mental strength as well as our emotional wellbeing. Yoga is a fantastic instrument for gaining a deeper understanding of who we are. It teaches us to be present, to direct our energy where it is most needed, and to create a life that is authentic and aligned with our true self.

Detox & Release

Detox Yoga stimulates the release of toxins, supporting the digestive, immunitary and limphatic systems. Benefits include clear skin, improved circulation, higher level of energy and maintaining a healthy weight. Classes are suitable for all levels of fitness.

Hatha Yoga for Relaxation

Hatha yoga is a gentle form of yoga that encompasses physical postures, breathing techniques and meditation. The term “Hatha” comes from Sanskrit and is the symbolic expression of two contrasting and complementary energies. “Ha” means sun and is a symbol of our dynamic, physical energy. Meanwhile “tha” means moon and is a reference to our mental energy and creativity. Hatha yoga aims to create a balance between these different forms of energy and has many benefits including increased physical and mental strength and emotional wellbeing.
